Have made this many times and is a family favorite. Portugese sweet bread makes the best! Don't be afraid to add cranberries, blue, or raspberries. Nuts or granola cereal also makes a difference. Splashes of an irish cream, amoretto, frangelica, or kuluha adds an unexpected twist as well. Alcohol will bake off and flavor will remain. Great brunch item! Would make this again. Yummy!!! Would make this again. fixed this dish for the local fire department christmas toys for tots drive so they would have breakfast it was honestly gone in a matter of minutes. they really loved it. e
