Apple Pie with Crystallized Ginger

1 unbaked pie crust for a single crust pie
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 cups sliced McIntosh apples (peeled and cored)
1/3 cup 35% cream
1/4 cup crystallized ginger, chopped fine
3 tablespoons butter

Pre-heat oven to 350 F. Line a 9" deep-dish pie pan with pie crust dough. Stir together sugar and flour. Add apples and creme and mix well. Place in prepared pie pan. Sprinkle with ginger and dot all over with butter. Bake 30 minutes.
